POP Mail Boxes Support Info
If you have a POP box at PRIMUS, the configuration of your mail programs may differ slightly from those shown in the settings for Netscape Mail and Eudora Light. The substitutions and changes you will need to make are as follows:
If you are connecting to your POP mail account through a different PRIMUS access account and have 'pop.primushost.com' listed as your incoming mail server, then you will be all set.
However, if you are connecting to your POP account through a different internet access provider, there is one additional change you will need to make to your mail configuration. In the area where it says SMTP Host, you will need to put the name of the SMTP host of your internet access provider instead of relay.primushost.com. You should be able to obtain that information from your access provider.
Your POP mail account will also be lacking a little of the functionality of a Standard access account. While you can use such services as the junk email filter and the ability to forward your mail (a .forward file), you will be unable to use the "vacation message" service.
