Notice the Send button in the upper right hand corner of the composition window. To send the message, simply click on this button.

The composition window immediately closes, and the progress window is momentarily displayed at the top of the screen. The progress window shows you the progress of lengthy operations. It will disappear once the message has been succesfully sent.
