Since the continuing trend in the IRC world is to not allow bots on IRC servers, PRIMUS will no longer allow the running of IRC bots. This policy is in effect immediately. Please note that PRIMUS System Administration staff will kill any bots discovered running and we will disable crontab access for users who continually try to start IRC bots.

We do not want to sound harsh, but IRC is very open to attack and abuse and we at PRIMUS are trying to do our part to protect our customers from malignant IRC users.
